Technology day

I was one of the suckers who went out and bought the new Verizon iPhone4.

You see I have wanted one for years but refused to switch from my beloved Verizon to AT&T. I became an Android user instead. I loved my Droid2 phone, a lot. But then in the last few years I have become a big fan of Apple. Ditching Windows has been a thing of beauty because with my Apple products... Well, they work! I don't have to sacrifice time for productivity and that is the way it should be.

I am a Tupperware Consultant and earned a free iPad last summer in a Sales/Recruiting contest! I LOVE it! I take it every where I go and use it for things like Facebook, Twitter, e-mail, Tupperware orders, games, notes, bible study, book and magazine reading, etc.

The irritation I was soon experiencing was that I was buying duplicate apps from the Apple App store and the Android Market, and my technology didn't always talk to each other.

Alas, then came a VERIZON iPhone. I contemplated waiting for a 4G version to come out. But I got email in my inbox that changed everything... An offer from an eBay store to buy back my two Droid phones for nearly the same price as the iPhone! You see I have 5 phones on my account. Two of which are eligible for upgrades now, so off I went.

Today I spent the day packaging up old phones to sell. I cleared memories, reset to factory settings, boxed 'em up and printed shipping labels. I pulled all of my accessories out, organized them and listed them on eBay the skeletons of my smartphone past.

HERE'S HOPING I BREAK EVEN!

superbowl sunday 2011

Well it is Superbowl Sunday 2011 and one of our favorite teams is playing... The Steelers! No parties for us... just hanging out at home, munching on our own snacks, comfy in PJs. Of course, personally all I care about is the commercials.

The boys are having some friends over to play this afternoon and that is all they care about!

Been to church, received an awesome message on leadership, and agreat lesson on the significance of the third commandment, respecting our Lord's name.

Groceries have been bought, hair cuts given, and bike maintainance supplies purchased. Time to rest! Happy Sunday.

Halloween Costumes

Well it is time to get ready for Halloween again! We just made a family trip to Party City and dropped a pretty penny on costumes. I have an Iron Man 2 and an Iron Man war machine, and one Grim Reaper hubby!

Summertime is Over

Wow! Seems like just yesterday the boys got out of school! They have now been back in school for a week and half! Of course, they were lucky duckies because they only went 1 day last week. We had the pleasure of traveling to Orlando for a vacation in Disney World!

Thanks to Tupperware, we got great deals on transportation, meals, resort stay, and park tickets! Tupperware's Annual Jubilee (national conference) was last week in Orlando on Disney property. What an amazing experience! The training, reveals, and inspiration was phenomenal and first class all the way!

Time Management Training

So I was in Orlando Florida last weekend, at New Director Experience with Tupperware. An amazing opportunity to receive sage and wise advice as to how to be a successful director. I really went into this training with a desire to master Time Management of my Tupperware Business. I have learned what I need to do, but doing it however is going to be another thing. Self Discipline is something I have never really mastered, you know the saying, "the road paved with good intentions"? I could have coined that phrase. I have tried over and over again to master that skill, but somehow, I can always find something better to do.

Anyhow, it becomes more challenging when you throw life's little disractions in the way, such as Facebook, Email, Phone Conversations, and doctor's appointments. It seems that there is always somebody in my family that needs to go to some doctor for one reason or another. Today it was the third visit to the eyedoctor in the last few months. First it was my exam, and contacts, then my oldest son's exame and glasses, now my second son had his exam and we had to purchase yet another pair of glasses. Oh and the oldest needed a follow up exam from the first one! Yikes! Gonna need to take out a small loan in this family to cover the eye issues alone!
